SAPA Update

A Message from Floyd Lamrouex

I just wanted to get the word out that the San Antonio Poets' Association (SAPA) website has been updated. The web address is: http://www.sapoetsassoc.org/

I want to thank the new SAPA president, Valerie Bailey, for the monumental amount of hard work and assistance she provided in the updating process. The content for the website has to come from somewhere, and Valerie was phenomenal in helping put the website's content together.

So what's on the website? There's topic information for the 2008-2009 SAPA poetry contests; information about our Poet Laureate and the runners up; information about the Speakers we'll be having at each of our SAPA meetings; information about, and a link to, the Poetry Society of Texas; and, a link to the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. There's also a roster of members, which includes addresses and e-mail addresses and poems of the members.

Our next SAPA meeting is September 20 at 2:00 p.m. And remember, only dues paid members can enter the monthly poetry contests, receive a free copy of the SAPA anthology, Inkwell Echoes, and receive a copy of the SAPA handbook.

So check out the site, and if you should notice something that could be updated or needs to be corrected, please contact me so that I can fix it.

See you in September!
Floyd (Michaud) L. Lamrouex
