Just a note to let you know that a short story I wrote titled, El Mosquito Americano, is currently being featured in Tonantzin Magazine in conjunction with the 30th Tejano Conjunto Festival.This year, the editor, Juan Tejeda, has included more stories, poems, and memoirs from Latina/o writers with a Tejano background. It makes interesting reading, and an introduction into the world of conjunto music. It salutes three great figures of the conjunto genre, plus short bios and pictures of enough musical groups are included to satisfy the soul of any conjunto fanatic.
