Fellow Writers,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy and Prosperous 2008!
Our Society has been in existence for three and a half years and still going strong. This is a definite reflection on all the hard work, patience and understanding that you--our members--have shown in not only wanting to be part of a writers' group, but are also willing to become actively involved in ensuring the Society continues meeting the needs of San Antonians and the citizens of the surrounding community. A sincere "Thank You" for everything you do.
As I write this entry, we have a 501(c)3 application pending review with the IRS and an Article of Incorporation for Non-Profits pending with the State of Texas. I will keep you updated on both as I receive updates from these two agencies.
I just sent an email to the Society's Leadership 2008 Group notifying them about Leadership meetings for the first half of 2008. All our meetings are open to everyone and you don't have to be a "Leader" to attend! Your input is valued and greatly appreciated.
Meetings will be held at the Barnes and Noble (Fiesta Trails), located at IH 10 and De Zavala on Saturdays at 9 a.m. Meeting dates are:
January 12
March 8
May 10
