Readers:

We're writing with three pieces of news for you.

One: A reminder to please read and vote for your favorite excerpt for our Books Excerpt Contest. We've received many votes and have a couple leads, but we are still looking to receive many more votes. Also, our authors, whether the winner or not, would love to receive any positive or constructive feedback you might have, so please the "comments section." We have prizes waiting for our winner(s) so please cast your votes by the end of March.

Two: A Call for Poet Readers at the Second Annual Luminaria Festival in San Antonio!!! Writers Block is again hosting a poetry stage at Luminaria this Saturday, March 14th, on the corner of Broadway and Houston Street. Every poet/writer is invited to come out and read anytime from 6pm to midnight. In attendance will be musicians from the Jazz Poets Society to accompany readers, if they so wish. Join some of San Antonio's finest poets and musicians on the streets of San Anto!

Three: To celebrate National Poetry Month, Writers Block is hosting "Lenguas Libres: Every Generation Claims Its Voice" at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center in San Antonio on April 11th. Some of San Antonio's fine poets will read, and each seasoned poet will sponsor a new voice to the art of poetry. More details to come.

Thanks!
