Bihl Haus Arts

Dear Friends of Bihl Haus Arts,

Join us for an intimate reading at Bihl Haus Arts on 2nd Thursday, June 10th, by poet, playwright, and teacher VINCENT TORO. Vincent’s poems have been published in the Paterson Literary Review, Vallum, and Bordersenses. He has performed his poetry in his home state of New York and throughout New Jersey and Texas. His plays have been staged at INTAR, Teatro La Tea, Repertorio Espanol, and The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, where he is currently Director of Theater Arts. He has been a finalist for the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Prize and the 2nd place winner of the Metlife Nuestras Voces playwriting competition.

The evening begins with a poetry workshop at 6 pm—share your works in progress with master teacher Jim Brandenberg--followed by open mic at 7pm. Vincent reads at 8 pm. Your hosts this Thursday are poets Josie Mixon, Mo Saidi, and Carolyn Sanchez. See you then!
