Hector Gonzalez: Los Angeles East Side Sound of the Sixties

The East Side Los Angeles sound has been hearlded as the

roots of punk, when garage bands recorded in local

recording studios. A few of the groups hit national

and international charts marking a unique Chicano sound

on rock and roll.
